No weightlifting experience is necessary!<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Y provides any needed equipment for these classes.  Please bring your own workout mat.  We suggest arriving early to set up your mat and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Come to class dressed and ready to move your body.<\/li>\n<li>Wear loose-fitting, functional workout clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow.<\/li>\n<li>Wear proper athletic shoes with a comfortable fit.  Open-toed and\/or open-backed shoes, slides, and Crocs will not be permitted.<\/li>\n<li>Start with light weights \u2013 BODYPUMP\u00ae uses high repetition to tone and strengthen.  Start gradually increasing weight after four to six weeks (or sooner, if you feel ready).<\/li>\n<li>Protect your joints with proper technique.
