Burn calories for hours after the workout, increase aerobic fitness, unleash fast-twitch muscle fibers, and grow lean muscle tissue while burning fat.  Each class will be one of the three LES MILLS GRIT formats:  Athletic, Strength, or Cardio.  You&#8217;ll be addicted to the results!<\/p>\n<p>LES MILLS GRIT\u2122 Athletic is designed to make you perform like an athlete. This workout often uses a step, bodyweight exercises and multi-dimensional sports conditioning training to increase your overall athletic performance: strength, agility, speed and power.<\/p>\n<p>LES MILLS GRIT\u2122 Strength is designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate and bodyweight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. <\/p>\n<p>LES MILLS GRIT\u2122 Cardio improves cardiovascular fitness, increases speed, and maximizes calorie burn. No experience is necessary!<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Y provides any needed equipment for these classes.  Please bring your own workout mat.  We suggest arriving early to set up your equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Come to class dressed and ready to move your body.<\/li>\n<li>Wear loose-fitting, functional workout clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow.<\/li>\n<li>Wear proper athletic shoes with a comfortable fit.  Open-toed and\/or open-backed shoes, slides, and Crocs will not be permitted.  Cross-training shoes designed for lateral movement are highly recommended.<\/li>\n<li>Please bring water and a sweat towel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>*Not all classes are offered at all locations.
