Beverley received the award at the 7th Annual Y-Bash held at the University of North Florida Fine Arts Center on Tuesday, Feb. 28.<\/p>\n<p>Beverley serves as the before-and-after-school program director at the Y\u2019s Tiger Academy and previously served as a YMCA Summer Day Camp site director in Mandarin. Day after day, Beverley delivers his work with enthusiasm, passion and excitement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNorman\u2019s accomplishment is a true testament to what we can achieve together as we continue to improve the lives in our community and discover our children\u2019s full potential,\u201d said YMCA of Florida\u2019s First Coast President and CEO Eric Mann. \u201cNorman goes above and beyond in every aspect of his work\u2014from dedicating extra time to strengthen relationships with school administration and parents to garnering community support for Tiger Academy. We are grateful to have Norman as part of the YMCA family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>YMCA of Florida\u2019s First Coast recognizes its staff, volunteers and community partners annually at the Y-Bash, an event celebrating their community impact through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. At this year\u2019s event, the Y announced its funding priorities for the following year and its goal to raise $1.55 million. This year\u2019s four funding priorities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creating Healthy Families and Communities<\/li>\n<li>Making Kids of All Ages Safe in the Water<\/li>\n<li>Academic and Life Achievement for Our Youth<\/li>\n<li>Helping Teens Become Leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Funding these priorities and the dedication of employees such as Beverley help the Y build a strong, supportive foundation for the communities it serves.
