William Nash, Jr. Legend Award for Community Partner of the Year. Presented at the 8th Annual Y-Bash held at the University of North Florida Lazzara Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, February 27, the award acknowledges Florida Blue, and its CEO Patrick J. Geraghty, for their consistent support.<\/p>\n<p>Florida Blue has contributed to the success of the First Coast YMCA community as a longtime supporter of the Y\u2019s mission, partner in the Healthy Living Center at the Winston Y and very generous contributor to the Y\u2019s Safety Around Water program in Northeast Florida and across the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFlorida Blue shares our vision to make the First Coast a better place for all,\u201d said YMCA of Florida\u2019s First Coast President and CEO Eric Mann. \u201cThe impact that we\u2019ve been able to make because of Florida Blue\u2019s partnership and generosity is nothing short of amazing. Together, we are transforming lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>YMCA of Florida\u2019s First Coast recognizes its staff, volunteers and community partners annually at the Y-Bash, an event celebrating their community impact through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. At this year\u2019s event, the Y announced its funding priorities for the following year and its goal to raise $1.66 million. This year\u2019s four funding priorities include:<\/p>\n<p>Funding these priorities and the dedication of community partners such as Florida Blue helps the Y build a strong, supportive foundation for the communities it serves. Past recipients of the E. William Nash, Jr. Legend Award for Community Partner of the Year include the Jacksonville Sports Council, Baptist Health, Clay County School District, UF Health, Vystar Credit Union and Atlantic Beach Urban Farms.<\/p>\n<p>###<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Y<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2018, YMCA of Florida\u2019s First Coast is celebrating its 110<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of serving the Northeast Florida community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
