This inaugural group of 14 men and women represent a wide-range of ages, backgrounds, industries and connections to the Winston Y. As part of the YPG, individuals will have the opportunity to give back, support their neighbors, work with multi-generational groups, and learn more about the Y\u2019s cause to strengthen the foundations of a community.<\/p>\n<p>The Winston Young Professionals Group includes:<br \/>\n\u2022 Alexander Travis, Rogers Towers<br \/>\n\u2022 Alexandra Fleming, Zaxby\u2019s District<br \/>\n\u2022 Angela Leatherbury, Habitat for Humanity<br \/>\n\u2022 Danielle Carter, St. Vincents &#8211; Riverside<br \/>\n\u2022 Hannah King, Urban Land Institute (ULI) North Florida<br \/>\n\u2022 Jacob Brinkley, Harden &amp; Associates<br \/>\n\u2022 Jake Kascht, Hajoca<br \/>\n\u2022 Joy Lee, Momni Boutique<br \/>\n\u2022 Kelly Harrell, Jacksonville Arts and Music School<br \/>\n\u2022 Nalonda Beckom, CSX\/YMCA<br \/>\n\u2022 Samvla Henry, Fountain Birds Academy<br \/>\n\u2022 Tara Lee, Wounded Warrior Project<br \/>\n\u2022 William Milne, TIAA Bank<br \/>\n\u2022 Anna Poeten, Caldwell Partners<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Y is dedicated to bringing people together and connecting them to their larger community,\u201d said Tim Burrows, executive director of the Winston Family YMCA. \u201cWe were overwhelmed by the number of applications we received for our first Young Professionals Group and are pleased to welcome such a talented and diverse group of young people to participate. Each individual is a strong advocate for the Y and will help drive the Y\u2019s goal of strengthening its community to the next generation of families and individuals on the First Coast.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Winston\u2019s YPG sessions will meet once a month for until December 2019, with a brief summer hiatus from June-August. The program offers networking opportunities, a chance to attend YMCA events, and most importantly, a sense of belonging and fulfillment as a member.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the next year, the Winston Young Professionals will be introduced to key Y programs and have interactive sessions with Teen Forward participants as well as the 50 &amp; Better group. The group will also meet with the First Coast Y leadership and development teams.<\/p>\n<p>The YPG is being led by the Winston YPG Advisory Board, including Ivan Gordon, Winston Advisory Board chair and managing director, Raymond James; Jamaal Grier, portfolio management Regency Center; Katie Cox, vice president of marketing, Tax Slayer Gator Bowl; Doug Tutwiler, wealth management, Merrill Lynch; Matthew Namey, digital strategist, On Ideas; and Tim Burrows, executive director, Winston Family YMCA.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about the Winston YPG, please visit fcymca.org\/winston-young-professionals to access the application and more information.
