Diversity & inclusion

Diversity & inclusion
Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) are core values at Signify, and fostering a workplace culture reflective of that is critical to our continued success as an organization. We thrive on inclusivity and diverse voices to solve hard problems and act as one team.
Board diversity
Our commitment to D&I starts at the top. The Signify Board of Directors is a diverse group of individuals representing various life and business experiences who inform and guide our Company to high standards of ethics and governance. The Board is committed to maintaining a diverse membership to enhance its deliberations and enable them to better represent all our constituents. In considering Director nominees, our Board considers character, integrity, judgment, business experience and diversity. With respect to diversity, our Board considers gender, race, ethnicity, differences in professional background, education, skills and other individual qualities and attributes that contribute to the total mix of viewpoints and experience.

At Signify, we see diversity of talent and a culture of inclusion as essential to our growth and ability to live our mission. Our core value of “inclusion” codifies the organization’s dedication to diversity, and inclusion.
One of the most important things we can do to build a successful, healthy organization is to have a workforce that reflects the diversity of the people we are privileged to serve every day.Kyle Armbrester CEO, Signify Health
Diversity and inclusion
Signify Health has taken several important steps in recent years, which reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusion:
- Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) task force: Launched an action-oriented group dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture, hosting discussions, sponsoring speakers, supporting employee resource groups and partnering with historically Black colleges or universities (HBCUs) and other community allies.
- Education: Developing and rolling out Company-wide diversity training and education so we share a common language and understanding of what diversity and inclusiveness involves.
- Roundtables: Hosting frequent roundtables that enable dedicated forums to exchange perspectives, listen and learn from one another, and propose new ideas for moving our D&I program forward.
- Metrics: We are committed to measuring and tracking employees’ sentiments on inclusion and sense of belonging through annual surveys, as well as the diversity of the candidates we interview and recruit at all levels of the organization. We review our company-wide diversity metrics regularly to identify and plug gaps in representation at all levels and take action to address issues and concerns raised by employees.
-
Strategic partnerships:
- P-Tech.org. As an industry partner for the Dr. Emmett J. Conrad Global H-TECH program, tailored for students interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), students from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to participate in a high-quality work experience via professional mentorships and internships at Signify.
- Catalyst.org. Nearly 67% of our employee base are women. Catalyst is a global nonprofit working with some of the world’s most powerful CEOs and leading companies to help build workplaces that work for women. Founded in 1962, Catalyst drives change with pioneering research, practical tools, and proven solutions to accelerate and advance women into leadership — because progress for women is progress for everyone.
-
Employee resource groups: Our employee resource groups (ERGs) make it possible for many employees to lead and engage in conversations, events, celebrations and initiatives that advance our diversity and inclusion goals, and are supported by ERG executive sponsors who are very involved and committed to their respective groups.
- The Black Employee Association for Leadership and Engagement (BEALE) is committed to fostering outreach and retaining, developing, and connecting Black/African American talent at Signify.
- LA Voz (“the voice”) is committed to identifying and aligning Latino and Hispanic community experience with self-realization, advocacy, and improved healthcare outcomes.
- The Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) is committed to empowering and inspiring women to succeed and excel both personally and professionally. Their mission is to advance skills, foster leadership potential, champion the contributions of female employees, and promote women as equal partners in Signify’s success, achievements, and profitability.
Signify’s 2021 D&I program featured a variety of engagement and learning opportunities, with roundtable discussions, guest speakers, and celebrations aimed at creating a culture of inclusivity and belonging.
